The cottages have small lawned garden areas to the front, back and side. These are shared between the two cottages and are not fenced or enclosed, so small children and pets should really be supervised at all times. To the front of the cottages the lawn slopes down to a dead-end road that runs between the cottages and the sea. Only occasional cars venture along the road, wondering where it goes, and they tend to do this slowly and carefully (Although, it must be stated, that Craobh Haven Cottages cannot be held responsible in any way for the result of the public using this road, or for the consequences of unsupervised play). The lawn to the side sports a picnic table which is provided for the use of guests in both cottages. To the rear, a lawned bank (and steps) take you up to the gravelled car parking area.
This animated graphic will hopefully give an idea of the grounds described here.
Although Craobh Haven and its environs is private land, the landowners welcome well-behaved visitors who respect the necessary farming and recreational constraints and you should have no difficulty finding interesting walks and secluded coves to explore.
